The International Middle- and Short-Distance Sled Dog Race On the Land of Sampo will be held on January 22-25, 2016 in Petrozavodsk, Karelia.
For the first time the middle-distance sled dog race championship of Russia took place in Pryazha in January, 2012. The competition arose strong interest in athletes and spectators, and at the suggestion of the International Mushing Federation in 2013 it was decided to make the race On the Land of Sampo one of the World Cup stages.
